The Fire Beneath the Mountains
Mummy Mountain, Rocky Mountian National Park
f/8 | 1/1000s | 135mm | ISO 250 (Stitched Panorama)
When people think of panoramas, they usually think of long wide shots. However, that is not always the case. From the roof of my car, I got a good view of the incoming snow fighting it’s way past mummy mountain, so I decided I would try to get a panorama. From four vertical images, I was able to stitch together a panorama of the scene, giving it amazing detail and the ability to be printed really large. I especially love the firey red/orange of the willow bushes in contrast with the icy snow on the trees and mountains.
