Fall Down the Mountain
Bear Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park
f/9 | 1/40s | 22mm | ISO 320
As the morning sunlight illuminated the mountainside, the aspen leaves began to glow. The diffused light warmed the area around me, chasing away the cold grasp of a September night in the Rockies. A slight breeze ruffled the leaves as I set up my tripod and got my camera situated. Surprised to have this slice of paradise to myself, I jumped around the boulders to find and try new compositions. As Longs Peak took on the colors of the sunrise, I paused to enjoy the silence and solitude before taking the photograph.
