Snowy Bridge
Alluvial Fan, Rocky Mountain National Park
f/9 | 1/400s | 23mm | ISO 400 (Stitched Panorama)
With temperatures below zero, I was hesitant to go out into the winter wonderland of Rocky Mountain National Park. I put on every layer I could manage to wear without hindering my mobility and headed out down the road. The fresh blanket of snow gave everything a beautiful simplicity that was only broken up by the occasional elk track. I ventured over to the alluvial fan to see if I could photograph some ice formations, but was met with an incredible scene of snowcapped boulders. I positioned myself near the bridge and used my tripod to get a panorama stitch of the scene.
