Wary Prowler
Estes Park, Colorado
f/6.3 | 1/1600s | 600mm | ISO 1600
After a snowy day at work, I headed outside to my driveway to capture some elk that were grazing in a nearby field. As I was snapping some shots, I looked down to see movement at the base of my driveway. “Ah, a stray cat,” I thought to myself. A beat passed before I realized that I was in the mountains and that this was in fact not a stray cat, but rather a bobcat! I’ve seen bobcats before, but I’ve never seen one when I had my camera ready. I excitedly captured as many shots as I could before the cat disappeared through the snow.
